Ray-Harryhausen - Künstliche Welten (artifical worlds) 2000
Deutsche Kinemathek - Museum for Film and Television Berlin
diorama-construction, planning and building
One of the great visionaries of film animation, a creator of absurd homunculi and bizarre mixed creatures, legendary beasts and bronze giants is the 85-year-old Oscar winner Ray Harryhausen. He is the inventor of a combination stop-motion/back projection animation, of the so-called “dynamation process.”
In a series of intricately designed dioramas, the original animated figures were thematically arranged and presented at the Filmmuseum Berlin.
